A Beech Grove tradition

Two nights of German food, cold beer, and neighbors you haven’t seen since last fall.

This is our 15th Oktoberfest on the Indianapolis southside, and it keeps getting bigger every year. Come for the brats and the beer garden, stay for the live music, the kids zone, and the run-ins with half of Beech Grove.

It is also how we keep the lights on at Holy Name Catholic School. The parish has been part of this neighborhood since 1908, and the school since 1922. Every ticket you buy goes right back into both.

Two nights, one parking lot, and more than enough to fill both.

Homemade German Food

Brats, schnitzel, warm pretzels, sauerkraut, and strudel made by parish families. Almost everything is 5 tickets or less.

Beer Garden

Cold German-style beer, with lower prices than last year.

Kids Zone

Indoor in the gym: bounce houses (the biggest draw), face painting, and games — dry and warm no matter the weather. Little ones head home around 9 PM.

From 9 to 10 PM the Kids Zone turns teens-only, so the older crowd gets the floor to themselves.

Meet Father Jack Wright, our new pastor

This summer Holy Name welcomed a new pastor, Father Jack Wright, who came to the parish in July from St. Louis Parish in Batesville. Oktoberfest is the perfect place to say hello. He’ll be out among the tents, so stop by, introduce yourself, and welcome him to the neighborhood.

$15,000 Big Ticket Raffle

Our biggest cash raffle of the year, drawn Saturday night. Tickets are $100 and only 1,000 are sold, so the field stays small. This is the one everyone circles on the calendar.

50/50 Both Nights

Half the pot goes home with one lucky winner, the other half supports the school. New pot each night, so there are two chances to win.

$18,000 in total prize money: a $15,000 grand prize, four $250 early bird drawings at the September 13 spaghetti dinner, and additional drawings during the festival. Tickets are $100 each and only 1,000 are sold. Tickets are sold in person only. Must be 18 or older to purchase. Need not be present to win. When is Holy Name Oktoberfest 2026?

Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 2026. Both nights run from 5:00 PM to midnight.

Where is it, and where do I park?

The festival takes over the grounds of Holy Name of Jesus, 95 N 16th Ave, Beech Grove, IN 46107. Use that address to navigate, and follow the signs to parking when you arrive. Neighborhood street parking is close by.

How much does it cost to get in?

Admission is free. Food, drinks, games, and raffle tickets are sold with tickets you buy at the festival.

Is it family-friendly?

Yes. The indoor kids zone in the gym has bounce houses, face painting, and games. Little kids head home around 9:00 PM, and 9:00–10:00 PM is a teens-only hour.

How do the raffles work?

The $15,000 Big Ticket Raffle is drawn Saturday night. Tickets are $100 and only 1,000 are sold. Four $250 early bird drawings happen earlier, at the September 13 spaghetti dinner, and 50/50 raffles run both festival evenings. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets are sold in person, and you must be 18 or older to buy one.

Is there a spaghetti dinner at the festival?

No. The spaghetti dinner is a separate event on Sunday, September 13, in the school cafeteria, and it is where the four $250 early bird raffle drawings happen. The festival on September 25 and 26 has German food and a Latino taco tent instead.

Who does the festival support?

Every plate, beer, and ticket supports Holy Name Catholic School and the parish. Holy Name has served Beech Grove families since 1908, and the school since 1922.
