This is our 14th Oktoberfest on the Indianapolis southside, and it keeps getting bigger every year — we're already gearing up for our 15th anniversary celebration next year. Come for the brats and the beer garden, stay for the live music, the kids zone, and the run-ins with half of Beech Grove.
It is also how we keep the lights on at Holy Name Catholic School. The parish has been part of this neighborhood since 1908, and the school since 1922. Every ticket you buy goes right back into both.

Beer Garden
Drinks run on tickets, $1 each. Regular beer 5 tickets, a souvenir stein 12 with 10-ticket refills all weekend, wine by the glass, and the wine slush. Craft pints from Saint Benedict’s Brew Works too.

Indoor in the gym — dry and warm no matter the weather. The carnival games are back, plus face painting, a magic show, a dirty soda bar, and a roped-off toddler zone. $10 wristband, little ones head home around 9 PM.

From 9 to 10:30 PM the gym flips to teens-only for the Glow Party. Friday night also has a game area in the cafeteria during teen hours. Teens need a $10 Kids Zone wristband to get in.

Round up a team for Trivia Live, hosted by Challenge Entertainment in the cafeteria. Four rounds across both nights — 7–8 and 8–9 PM — 5 tickets a player or 25 for a full team of up to 6. Play one round or stay for both; new players can join at the start of the second round.

Health Fair
Friday only, 5–10 PM. Franciscan Health brings free cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings, “Ask a Doc” with a Franciscan Physician Network doctor, and flu, pneumonia and COVID vaccines. Community Health South has emergency Narcan kits with training, and IU Health Ball Memorial’s Karin Gaither, MA speaks on GLP-1s — “The Skinny in Getting Skinny.”

Meet Father Jack Wright, our new pastor
This summer Holy Name welcomed a new pastor, Father Jack Wright, who came to the parish in July from St. Louis Parish in Batesville. Oktoberfest is the perfect place to say hello. He’ll be out among the tents, so stop by, introduce yourself, and welcome him to the neighborhood.

The Big Ticket Raffle & 50/50
$15,000 Big Ticket Raffle
Our biggest cash raffle of the year, drawn Saturday night. Tickets are $100 and only 1,000 are sold, so the field stays small. This is the one everyone circles on the calendar.
50/50 Both Nights
Half the pot goes home with a lucky winner, the other half supports the school. Multiple drawings both nights, so there are plenty of chances to win.

The four $250 early bird drawings are done. They were pulled at the September 13 spaghetti dinner. The $15,000 grand prize is still up for grabs — it is drawn Saturday, September 26 at the festival.

When is Holy Name Oktoberfest 2026?
Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 2026. Both nights run from 5:00 PM to midnight.
Where is it, and where do I park?
The festival takes over the grounds of Holy Name of Jesus, 89 N 17th Ave, Beech Grove, IN 46107. Use that address to navigate, and follow the signs to parking when you arrive. Neighborhood street parking is close by.
How much does it cost to get in?
Admission is free. Food, drinks, games, and raffle tickets are sold with tickets you buy at the festival.
Is it family-friendly?
Yes. The indoor kids zone in the gym has face painting, a magic show, a dirty soda bar, and a roped-off toddler area. A $10 wristband covers all activities. Little kids wrap up around 9:00 PM, and 9:00–10:30 PM is teens-only in the gym (a Kids Zone wristband is required). Friday night also has a game area in the cafeteria for teens.
How do the raffles work?
The $15,000 Big Ticket Raffle is drawn Saturday night. Tickets are $100 and only 1,000 are sold. Four $250 early bird drawings were held earlier, at the September 13 spaghetti dinner, and 50/50 raffles run both festival evenings. You do not need to be present to win. Tickets are sold in person, and you must be 18 or older to buy one.
Is there a spaghetti dinner at the festival?
No. The spaghetti dinner was a separate event on Sunday, September 13, in the school cafeteria, and it is where the four $250 early bird raffle drawings were held. The festival on September 25 and 26 has German food and a Latino taco tent instead.
Who does the festival support?
Every plate, beer, and ticket supports Holy Name Catholic School and the parish. Holy Name has served Beech Grove families since 1908, and the school since 1922.
