Official Raffle Rules

Holy Name Oktoberfest Big Ticket Raffle, 50/50, and early bird drawings — conducted as licensed charitable gaming under the Indiana Gaming Commission.

1. Sponsor

This raffle is conducted by Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church & School (the “Organization”), 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107, Marion County, under a charity gaming license issued by the Indiana Gaming Commission. License #001295 · Reference #165062. All proceeds benefit Holy Name Catholic School and parish ministries.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a raffle ticket or claim a prize. Employees, volunteers, committee members, and their families may participate. Void where prohibited by law. Purchasing a ticket is not required for admission to any event and is not a donation for tax-deduction purposes.

3. Tickets

Big Ticket Raffle tickets are $100 each. A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets are sold in person only — there are no online, mail, or telephone sales. Payment is accepted by cash, check, or card at the point of sale. All sales are final; tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Keep your ticket stub as proof of entry.

4. Prizes

$18,000 in total prize money: one (1) $15,000 grand prize; four (4) $250 “early bird” prizes; and 50/50 cash prizes drawn each festival night (each 50/50 prize is one-half of that night’s ticket sales for that drawing). Prizes are paid in cash or by check. Prizes are not transferable and will not be substituted except at the Organization’s discretion.

5. Early Bird Drawings

Every Big Ticket Raffle ticket purchased on or before the Spaghetti Dinner is entered into the four (4) early bird drawings held at the Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Holy Name, Beech Grove, IN. Buying early is the only way to be included in the early bird drawings. Early bird winners remain eligible for the $15,000 grand prize — winning tickets are returned to the drum.

6. Grand Prize Drawing

The $15,000 grand prize will be drawn on Saturday, September 26, 2026, during Holy Name Oktoberfest in Beech Grove, IN. All Big Ticket Raffle tickets sold are eligible. The winning ticket is drawn at random from all tickets sold.

7. Odds

Because no more than 1,000 Big Ticket Raffle tickets are sold, the odds of any single ticket winning the grand prize are no worse than 1 in 1,000. Odds for the early bird and 50/50 drawings depend on the number of eligible tickets sold at the time of each drawing.

8. You Need Not Be Present to Win

You do not need to be present at any drawing to win. Winners will be contacted using the name and phone number recorded on the ticket stub, so please write legibly and completely. It is the ticket holder’s responsibility to provide accurate contact information.

9. Claiming a Prize

Winners must present a valid government-issued photo ID and the matching ticket stub (for present winners) to claim a prize. Unclaimed prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of the drawing. The Organization will make reasonable efforts to reach a winner; a prize left unclaimed after thirty (30) days may be forfeited and retained by the Organization, subject to Indiana law.

10. Taxes

Prizes are gambling winnings under federal and Indiana law. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. The Organization will report prize winnings and/or withhold taxes to the extent required by law. Before a prize is paid, a winner may be required to complete IRS Form W-9 and provide a Social Security number or taxpayer identification number; failure to do so may result in backup withholding or forfeiture of the prize.

11. General Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, entrants agree to these rules and to the decisions of the Organization and the raffle committee, which are final and binding in all matters. The Organization is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, illegible, or destroyed tickets. If the raffle cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, the Organization reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel it, subject to the rules of the Indiana Gaming Commission. This raffle is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
